Back to Dancing!!

How often does it happen that one hears a peppy song and can’t resist dancing? Well with me it happens most of the time. And since last one week, I have been addicted listening to “Sheila Ki Jawani”a song from the forthcoming movie Tees Mar Khan. Katrina Kaif sizzles in this dance number and each time I hear this song, I cannot resist myself dancing. Though I am not a good dancer but I manage to catch and match the beats of this song (SMILE).

Dancing is one of my hobbies. I was in class XI, when we had to give farewell to our seniors and everyone had to participate. My participation in singing and Drama was ruled out because I was horrible in those fields. My friend Shreya who was a very good dancer suggested me to perform a duet with her. I was clueless when she approached because I never thought I could dance. Finally I ended up dancing on the famous song sung by Alisha Chenoy i.e. “Made In India”.
Our performance was appreciated by everyone and  guess what!! I was the “Star Performer” because the impression that my friends had for me was that I am a Tom Boy and that I have two left feet.(HAHAHA!!).My friends were astonished to see my dance.
After that there was no looking back, I knew that I had the talent in me and I needed to bring it out. And when I joined college to pursue B.Sc (Zoology), I performed on stage in different occasions.
Whenever I get time I pick up a song and try out my choreography. I can’t express how I feel when I dance because it helps to forget the stress around me.
Dance is not only an art form but I perceive it as meditation...(Bahut jyada hi gyan diya maine lagta hai..hahahah)

Being a Poet!!

Today I was cleaning the cupboard and I came across my Old Diary. As I turn the pages, it reminded me of days when I used to compose poems. Ahah! Those were the days when I was obsessed to writing. I found this to be a wonderful medium to express my thoughts and feelings.
I was in Class VI, when I composed my first poem and the name was “Peace”. I remember that year I recitated my poem in poem recitation competition held in my school and won the 1st prize. That motivated me and I was inclined to writing.
It feels great to share this that few of my poems have found place in one of the leading newspaper in Assam i.e.  Assam Tribune (Smile).

After coming to Hyderabad, writing almost took a back seat. But today after a long hiatus I tried composing few lines. And thanks to my Diary for motivating me.

My first experience of travelling in local bus in Hyderabad

Never thought that traveling by bus would be so much fun. And few may ask me what‘s big deal in that? Yes! But in Hyderabad I never traveled by bus all these years but after my last week’s MMTS experience; this week I got the experience of traveling in a bus too.

Few days back I had to go to Splendid Towers (Near Shopper Stop).I was waiting outside Lifestyle Building for an auto. Few auto drivers refused to go and the ones who were ready were charging Rs 40.I saw one girl trying to cross the road, I thought lemme also cross the road in a hope of getting an auto on the other side.
Now crossing the road has always been a nightmare and this reminds me of my friend Richa who says”Vijayeta tereko jo road cross karayega woh kudh hi road cross karma bhool jayega”(HAHA).Yup!this is true I have a phobia in crossing the road. So when I saw the crossing I told her to stop and said even I want to go to the other side, please help me. She smiled at me and held my hand. And in no time I was on the other side of the road.I told the girl that I had to go to Splendid Towers, she said “Didi why don’t you travel by bus, this is the bus stop and there are lots of buses going towards that side
I was in two minds but thought Yup! Why not? So many people travel by bus and I am not a princess (Smile). There came a bus and I got a place to sit. The conducter asked me to pay the fare, I asked him, How much? He said Rs 4, I was surprised I said, Is it? Coz I never thought that traveling in a bus means less fare. I was calculating the fare of Rs40 (Auto) versus Rs4.

When I came home,I realized that even traveling by bus or MMTS is convenient. All these years in Hyderabad my means of transport was Auto Rickshaw.
Today When I look Back and think of those days when I travelled by autos,It makes me feel that I have made so many Auto drivers rich (HAHAHAHAH)!!!

Birthday Card

A while ago, today was like a normal day for me. I came home tired and exhausted from work. Sipping a cuppa of tea, I sat on the terrace to unwind. Abhishek came and handed me an envelop. I was curious to know what’s inside and to my surprise it was a B’day Card sent to me by my friend Meeta Sen from USA.
As I opened and read the lines from the card, tears rolled down from my cheeks (Smile)….I was delighted to see the card and was thinking that my Best Friend still remembers my Birthday. It’s been 10 years now that we haven’t met. But every year she never fails to wish me…
Tomorrow is my Birthday and now when I look at this card; It feels great to know that I am special.

Thanks Meeta!!!As this B’day card made my evening!!!

Vodafone delights Advertisement reminds me of my Best Friend Meeta….

There are so many advertising campaigns which are shown on TV, but there are few which are meaningful and touches one’s heart. One of them is “Vodafone delights Ad”.This is about two friends and the emotional retort associated with receiving special gifts.
Shot in fantastic manner, this one is close to my heart .Whenever I see this advertisement it reminds me of my best friend Meeta Halder(Sen) whom I know since my childhood days.
And the lyrics of the song “Little things you do for me and no one else make me feel good………..is indeed so nice dat whenever I hear this song I remember the wonderful memories I spent with Meeta.

Meeta I really miss u…and cherish our childhood memories.

Here’s the lyric -----

Little things you do for me
and no one else make me feel good
little things you do for me
making me smile and no one else could
thats why i like to sit next to you
and hear your mad stories i know they are not true
and i like that we share a secret or two together
little things you do for me...

MMTS-My first Experience of travelling in a local train!!!!!

Yes I did it! And guess what? I traveled in a local train in Hyderabad which is popularly known as MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System). But the point is what’s the big deal in it. Well all these years (6 years in Hyderabad) my means of transport was restricted to company cab in the weekday and auto rickshaw in the weekend.
I had heard from many people the benefits (Saving money and time) of traveling by MMTS.But I was little hesitant as I had weird thoughts about local trains (dirty, unsafe Blah! Blah!)
It was last weekend I had to go to Hitech City.I went to Lifestyle and waited for Auto Rikshaw for 30 minutes and the reason was they wanted me to pay Rs 150 –Rs 200 which I was not ready to. While I was waiting(impatiently) for auto rikshwas I got a call from my friend Richa who suggested me to take MMTS.Little apprehensive about the idea I thought lemme give it a try and I proceeded to the counter to get a ticket. And when I came to know about the fare I was surprised, coz it is just Rs 2 from Begumpet to Hi-tech city.I waited for 10 mins and was lil scared too thinking how the journey would be.
Finally the train came and I entered the ladies compartment. To my surprise the train was clean.I got a seat too.I asked the lady seating next to me “How long it’s gonna take me to reach Hitech”?And there comes the reply,10mins..I was wondering Is it?(How can it be)

And Yes she was right, in 10 mins,I reached Hitech Station. When I got down I smiled and had this amazing feeling as if I have achieved something.Indeed a different experience altogether, moreover one can really save on money and time.

Never thought that travelling by MMTS would be so much fun!!!!!

My Wonderland!

The topic “My Wonderland” sounds similar to “Alice in Wonderland” and well it’s no different. When I see Pooh Bear in Winne the Pooh series, I always wonder, how world be if the animals, birds, trees, sun, moon etc etc around me can talk. It would me great to see them dancing, singing, hosting B’day parties, wearing clothes. WOW!!
I may sound childish. Am I? Even today when I read books like Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty,Aladin etc (I know I am old to read such stories),I feel as if I have entered  their world.

As I saw Pooh bear on TV today celebrating his B’Day, I yearn to be a part of such wonderland.!!!!

Lazy Sunday!!

This is the laziest Sunday of my life. Got up at 9am, had my B’fast and slept again. When I opened my eyes it was 4pm.I was shocked that I slept for a long time, took the remote and started surfing channels. There was nothing to watch on TV all I saw was the visit of President Obama covered by all the news channel...
I thought of going out but changed my mind as it’s too cold outside. Sipping a cup of tea and talking to my parents over the phone is what I did in the evening. I have never felt so lazy.

I felt as if I have become a Khumbhakaran today!!!New KHUMBHAKARAN in making....
